Ahh it’s been a while since I’ve actually painted something! This is the first time I’ve used Gouache and I have to admit I love the technicality of the medium, how you can’t go back into it once its down. The assignment was to create a children’s book scene of a child at a petting zoo. My story is of a little girl visiting a farm on her birthday and putting party hats on the chicks. Analogous color theory assignment. Red to orange to violet. Instantly I thought, Oh Hey! Harley and Joker! Thus this catastrophe was born. Everything is analog painted then digitaly composed. The Batman icon is from an old 60’s Japanese comic.
